About me

I joined Indiana University’s HRPP in 2011 and earned my CIP credentials in 2013. I currently serve as the Assistant Director leading the team that reviews all Social, Behavioral, and Educational research, as well as being an IRB member.

In addition to reviewing protocols and supervising staff, I also provide input on HRPP policies, expertise on regulatory and ethical issues related to SBE research, and training to IU researchers.

I am a regular speaker at PRIM&R’s AER conferences, have been a speaker at AAHRPP’s annual conference, the California State University IRB Forum, OHRP’s 2022 RCF in Indianapolis, and the Anatomy Education Research Institute’s annual conference. I am also a regular contributor to PRIM&R’s IRB Forum and have provided training to multiple HRPPs.

Outside of work, I am an avid home chef, runner, and science fiction fan. I enjoy traveling with my wife, Rachel, with whom I have one thoroughly mediocre cat.
